TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Minister E.E. Mangindaan has predicted tomorrow might be the peak of homecoming (season). "D-3, tomorrow, is the peak [of homecoming]. However, we cannot predict the number," he said.
In preparing the homecoming stream, the ministry has prepared three routes in Java Island, namely northern, central, and southern. Other islands under the ministry's supervision are Sumatra, Sulawesi and Borneo. Several provinces such as Lampung, South Sumatra, North Sumatra, East Borneo, South Borneo, and South Sulawesi are likely to be crowded. "Based on experiences, those routes are the most crowded," he said.
The Transportation Ministry has also suggested bus company to cast two drivers, so that they can swap operating.
