TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Stoke City have signed former Barcelona player Bojak Krkic on a four-year deal. Bojan, 23, scored 26 goals in 104 league appearances and debuted in Barcelona when he was only 17-year-old.
He was loaned to several clubs such as Ajax and AC Milan before returning to Barcelona. In Ajax, he only managed to score five goals in 32 matches.
"Anyone who knows European football will be aware of him as a player and the fact that he sees his future at Stoke City is really exciting and an endorsement of the club itself," said Stoke City manager Mark Hughes.
"He's desperate to prove himself in the Premier League and we're pleased to be able to offer him that platform."
Bojan joined Mame Biram Diouf, Steve Sidwell, Phil Bardsley and Dionatan Teixeira in the list of new players signed to Stoke City. Hughes hoped these five new players will score victory in a match against Aston Villa on August 16.
