The First Chocolate-Writing Machine in Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian people will have more options to send a more personal Ramadan messages to the loved ones by carving the messages on a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate. The machine to write the messages becomes the firstly available in Indonesia.

The chocolate maker Cadbury offers their chocolate-writing services during this month in several hypermarket stores. The chocolate lovers will be able to get their messages printed on the chocolate bar without having to open the pack.

“The tradition of sending messages for Eid al Fitr has been always popular in Indonesia. However, as technology continues to advance, people continue to look for more personal ways to send messages to make it more meaningful,” said Grace David, the Head of Marketing Chocolate Category, Mondelez Indonesia.

The machine is currently only available for consumers in Indonesia and Malaysia by purchasing the minimum of two 165-gram chocolate bars.

In Jakarta, the machine will be available in Carrefour Lebak Bulus and Duta Merlin on July 18 to 20, in Giant Botani and Lottemart Kuningan City on Kuly 21 to 24, in Giant BSD and Carrefour MT Haryono on July 25 to 27.

“Trough the theme ‘Say it with Chocolate’, we hope that the consumers can make stronger bond with relatives and beloved family in a more personal way, so that this year’s Eid al Fitr will be a meaningful winning day,” Grace added.
