Suzuki's Sales Penetrate 83,005 Units

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) recorded a product sale of 83,005 units in retail sales in the first semester of 2014.  The retail sales figure brought Suzuki to dominate 13.6 percent of the national market share, Antara News reported.

“We are so grateful of Suzuki’s achievement in this first semester of 2014.  In the middle of a tight competition, Suzuki manages to prove itself by continuing to increase product sales according to the market’s demand,” Davy J. Tuilan, 4W Sales, Marketing and DND Director PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) told reporters on Tuesday.

Davy said that the domination of market share in the first semester of 2014 as much as 13.6 percent also became Suzuki’s highest achievement during the last 5 years.  During the periods of January to June in 2010, Suzuki only dominated 8.4 percent of the market share.  “If compared to Suzuki’s market share domination in this first semester of 2014, it experienced an increase of 63 percent compared to the periods of January-June 2010,” he said.

He said the trend of increasing market share also occured in wholesales with an increase market share of 36 percent compared to January-June 2010 periods as much as 9.3 percent.

Suzuki’s sales in retail along the first semester of 2014 also increased as much as 12 percent if compared to the first semester of 2013 with a sales figure of 74,416 units.

Suzuki’s increased sales also brought an increase to the average sales during January-June 2014 with an average sale of 13,834 units compared to last year, that is 12.403 units.  In the wholesales sale, Suzuki also recorded an increase sale of 5,767 units to becoming 81,192 units in the first semester of 2014.
