TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto left Polonia House, the headquarters of the Great Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party-led coalition, at five in the afternoon.
On his way to his car, Prabowo marched and sang two national songs, viz. Halo-Halo Bandung and Maju Tak Gentar, while making a sign of his presidential number "number one" with his hand to his supporters.
"Let us take it back," Prabowo yelled the verse of the Halo-Halo Bandung. His loyal supporters responded, yelling "Prabowo President!"
Earlier today, Prabowo stated he balked at accepting the ongoing presidential process. He claimed his camp had detected multiple violations, and that the General Elections Commission was not independent and had tolerated the violations.
Prabowo's camp spokesman Tantowi Yahya later clarified the statement, saying that Prabowo did not withdraw from the presidential race, but from the vote tally process at the General Elections Commission (KPU).
