TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Director of provincially owned company (BUMD) PT Jakarta Propertindo Budi Karya Samadi said the government investment participation (PMP) scheme totaling Rp8 trillion injected by the Jakarta administration would be used to develop its property business.
The company would build low-cost apartments (rusunawa), hotels and distribution centers. "This fund will be used as authorized capital," Budi said last Friday.
One of the low-cost apartments to build is located in Petukangan, South Jakarta and it is worth Rp165 billion.
Other projects to be undertaken include the construction of infrastructures in Jakarta.
PT Jakarta Propertindo has been involved in the construction of several important projects such as gas-filling stations (SPBG), toll roads, electronic pricing road system, and light rail transit.
PT Jakarta Propertindo also plans on building the utility ducting for channeling water and gas. "Pak Ahok [Jakarta Acting Governor] has also asked us to undertake the ducting project," said Budi.
In the meantime, Ahok said the government investment participation (PMP) scheme was chosen in order to maximize the spending of the 2014 Regional Budget. The scheme also aims at giving more opportunities for provincially owned companies to undertake a number of projects.
