Hundreds of Public Order Officers to be Put on Standby

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as 600 officers of the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) will be put on standby on upcoming July 22 when the presidential election result announced by General Election Commission (KPU), as reported by Antara News.

“From the beginning of the presidential election up until now, there are 30 Satpol PP personnel on guard in KPU. For upcoming July 22, there are 600 back up personnel put on standby at the City Hall. They will be ready to be deployed whenever needed. In addition, there are also 50 personnel standby at Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout,” stated Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, Kukuh Hadi Santoso, on Sunday.

According to Santoso, Jakarta Satpol PP is also coordinating with the police and the National Army (TNI) to guard the city.

“I’m sure everything would run safely and peacefully,” he expressed.
