TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) W2 North toll road segment is planned to be inaugurated by the Minister of Public Works Djoko Kirmanto on Monday, July 21, 2014. “It will be inaugurated by the Minister of Public Works,” an official told Tempo on Sunday.
With this inauguration, it means that every toll segment of JORR W2 that had only operated partially, can now fully operating.
Managing Director of PT Jakarta Marga Jaya Ngurah Wirawan said that the inauguration will be held from Ulujami interchanges up to Ciledug. The segment stretches from Kebon Jeruk up to Ciledug along 7.6 kilometers.
Overall, JORR Toll will connect Rorotan until the Airport toll roads. The toll will also fill up the missing link that can connect to other five toll road segments that have been operating, they are Jakarta-Cikampek, Jagorawi, Jakarta-Serpong, Jakarta-Tangerang and Tol Sediyatmo (airport).
Because of that, the existence of JORR W2 toll road segment is predicted to reduce congestions in the Inner City Toll. After being inaugurated, the toll road can be used the next day.
