TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian young designers, Patrick Owen and Billy Tjong, will participate in the 2014 Fashion KODE in Seoul at the aT Center Seoul. The two designers are considered to have the potential to attract Korean market that is keen on contemporary designs.
“Both of them like to use printed motifs that reflect Indonesian cultures. They applied them on ultra-modern clothing silhouettes,” Diaz Parsada, the creative director of Jakarta Fashion Week, said in a press release received by Tempo.
Patrick often collaborates with photographers to create unique and mysterious print motifs with Androgyny nuance. Meanwhile Billy Tjong combines his own photography and panting works with print motifs to create feminine designs.
The Fashion KODE is a prestigious biennial fashion event in South Korea. This year, the event invited 300 buyers and 5,000 fashion industries around the world. Boybad EXO is one of the ambassadors of the fashion event.
