TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho has launched a critique to Jack Wilshere after the Arsenal midfielder was pictured smoking a cigarette earlier this week. Mourinho said Wilshere set a bad example for children.
"What football players do, millions and millions are watching, lots of kids are watching," the Special One said as quoted by Sports Mole.
Wilshere was caught on camera smoking when he was in Las Vegas for holiday with Joe Hart. The England international player had also previously seen smoking in October 2013.
Mou believed that what Wilshere was doing will not affect his performance, but it will affect children’s perspective on smoking.
"What gets affected is that a kid at home says if a top football player can smoke, then I can smoke and it is not a problem."
