TEMPO.CO, Taipei - Mass production of the next two iPhone generations is coming soon. Taiwan-based Hon Hai Precision, also known as Foxconn, is reportedly ready to produce 4.7-inch iPhone 6 next week and the 5.5-inch version on the second week of August.
"Pegatron, another Taiwan-based contract manufacturer, has begun to recruit over 10,000 workers," CNET cited a China state-run news service.
If the reports are accurate, it’ll be a clue that the Apple device may be launched in September just like the rumors say.
The reports, however, did not mention about problems previously-reported to occur in the production of the latest Apple’s smartphone. Earlier, analyst from KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo had indicated that the launching of 5.5-inch iPhone 6 might be delayed until the end of this year, or may be launched after October in a limited number.
Both version of iPhone 6 are said to be having ultra thin size similar to the iPod Touch, as well as improved camera and bigger flash memory capacity.
