TEMPO.CO, Tel Aviv - The Israel-Palestine conflict has heated up since earlier this week. A video uploaded on YouTube has shown that the bomb siren affected the behavior of elephants' family living at the Zoological Center in Tel Aviv, Daily Mail reported.
The footage was recorded by a visitor of the zoo and uploaded later by Sagit Horowitz, a staff member at the Zoo. It shows the animals were freely walking around in a pen, when suddenly an alarm started whirring signaling Palestinian attack. Immediately one of the elephants let off an aggressive trumpet call which caused the pack to group together.
The elders then circled around two tiny calves in a bid to keep them safe from harm. After the siren stopped, the flock stood still in place for few moments before finally moving slowly.
Ms Horowitz told the Israeli website, Ynet, that unfortunately the zoo had no experience in managing animals through warfare. The keepers moved animals to the sleeping houses at night as a part of the emergency protocol so they would not be vulnerable to breaking glass cages during attack.
