TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta International School (JIS) has expressed disappointment for the police’s decision in naming the two teachers of JIS suspects. Neil Bantleman, a Canadian national and Ferdinand Tjion, an Indonesian, are presumed to be involved in the sexual abusement case towards the three students.
"We are certain that the final police result will show that both teachers are innocent," JIS spokesperson, Daniarti Wusono, wrote in an email yesterday.
Daniarti said the two teachers had shown good examples and professionalism since they worked at JIS. As being named suspects by the police, the school party stated they would accompany the two teachers during the legal process.
