Pertamina Installs CCTVs at Fuel Terminals

TEMPO.CO, Semarang – State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina has installed closed-circuit televisions (CCTV) at its fuel terminals (TBBM) nationwide to monitor and avert possible fraud in fuel distribution.
“We have also trained the crew of our tank cars and given them advice on how to best serve the community,” said Roberth M.V.D, PT Pertamina external relations manager for Central Java and Yogyakarta, on Tuesday, July 8, 2014.
Roberth said PT Pertamina had also instructed gas stations (SPBU) to install CCTVs to monitor fuel distribution to SPBUs and consumers. He added the company was also teaming with the police to safeguard fuel supplies and distribution.
Robert said he was upbeat the installation of the CCTVs would help the company detect fraud and apprehend the perpetrators. “This is part of Pertamina’s endeavors to tackle possible fraud in fuel distribution,” he said.
Robert also called on the people to keep tabs on and report any kind of embezzlement in oil distribution.
