TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) appreciated the readiness of the three Jakarta International School (JIS) teachers who were going through examination in Metro Police Department on Monday, June 23, 2014. "We want the case to be quickly over, at least to be in P21 soon," said Secretary of KPAI Erlinda, on Monday, June 23. 2014.
Erlinda expected that JIS will be cooperative for the sake of the investigation case. She is concerned that the deportation delaying periode is over, then immigrations will have the right to send the teachers back home to United States and Canada.
The three reported teachers of JIS are ED, NB and FT, being examine in Metro Police Department. They are being examine as witnesses in the victim case of MAK, who previously claimed to be abused by six janitors in the school. Lately, he also claimed to be harassed by the teachers in the school.
JIS claims to be ready in coordinating. “We are open and transparent, and will not be hiding anything,” Timothy Carr told Tempo. Concerning the absence of JIS party on last Wednesday’s examination, they claimed that they did not receive any summon from the police.
“This is their first summoning,” said Carr. The three teachers are going through examinations in the Women and Children Protection Unit of the Metro Police Department. They are being question concerning the victim’s accusation that stated to be harassed in the teacher’s room in JIS Kindergarten.
