TEMPO.CO, Tokyo - Indonesian men's doubles, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan becomes the only Indonesia's representative who made to the 2014 Japan Open final. The world's number one doubles beat Japan's Hirokatsu Hashimoto/Norutasu Hirata (21-8, 21-10) to claim the ticket to today’s final against Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong of South Korea.
Ahsan/Hendra only needed 24 minutes to defeat the Japanese doubles at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, yesterday. On the other part of the tournament, another Indonesian doubles, Angga Pratama/Ryan Agung was beaten by Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong 21-16, 21-14, losing the final ticket.
Ahsan/Hendra met Dae/Seong in four occasions with the South Korean superior 3-1 on the record. The Indonesian doubles, however, are confident to win this final match as they won the latest match up with their opponent 21-15, 17-21, and 21-19 in Thomas Cup last month.
