TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Transportation agency will test Transjakarta's new bus route on Monday, May 19. The route that is going to be tested is the corridor II from Pulogadong until Ujung Menteng.
"The extension is expected to facilitate access from Jakarta until the border of Bekasi," said Jakarta Transportation agency head Muhammad Akbar in his written statement, Saturday, May 17.
In the trial, buses that serve this route will stop at eight places, which are Pulogadung, Raya Bekasi KIP, Raya Bekasi Tipar Cakung, United Tractor, Pasar Cakung, Cakung Cilincing, Pulogebang, and ends at Ujung Menteng station. The route's length is approximately 5.5 kilometers. "Hopefully, the public would be interested and convert to public transports," he said.
During the trial, there will be five single buses that operate according to Transjakarta's operational hours. One bus can fit of 85 passengers.
