Yamaha R15 Orders Reach 1,500 Units

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After it was just launched, Yamaha YZF-R15 orders was recorded as many as 1,500 units. "That is the amount of online indents," spokesman of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM), Eko Prabowo, said to Tempo.

Previously, Yamaha opened an online order via www.iwantyamaha15.com. However, the Online Indent Yamaha R15 programme which included a HJC Lorenzo Edition helmet has been closed due to have reached 1,500 buyers in two days. The website stated that booking payment by buyers are awaited until 14:00 Western Indonesian Time on April 25, 2014.

If it exceeded the given time, the indent will automatically be cancelled. According to Eko, the shipments to buyers will be done in the upcoming May 2014. Eko said that this motorcycle with the price of Rp28 million is produced in Pulogadung, Eastern Jakarta. "The local components are 80 percent."

Yamaha, he said, aims to produce 50,000 units of YZF-R15 in a year.
