TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Metro Jaya Police's evaluation showed there has yet to be any early proof or explanation to run a blood test toward JIS teachers. The Indonesian Commission on Child Protection (KPAI) stated that an initial proof involving the teacher has existed and is being reported to the police department.
KPAI commissioner, Erlinda, said a proof of a teacher's involvement had been conveyed by the second victim at JIS to KPAI. The commission, through the Child Protection task force then reported the case to the Police Headquarter. "I think the evidence is enough for Polda as an early proof of a teacher’s involvement," said Erlinda when contacted by Tempo yesterday.
To KPAI, the second victim, a foreign citizen, reported to have eperienced a sexual abuse from one of the teachers. In the official report, the victim mentioned the teacher’s profile: blonde hair, blue eyes and caucasian.
The victim refused to file a report on the case. "They said they don’t believe in Indonesian police," said Erlinda concerning the victim's reason. That is why, the police must use the reports of Child Protection task force to Bareskrim as an initial proof.
Metro Jaya Police spokesman, Sr. Comm. Rikwanto, said the blood test of JIS teachers has not been scheduled. To date, investigators have no early evidence nor explanation to carry out the blood test.
The police's behavior is pitied by Erlinda. She said, the assumption for not having an early proof of the teacher’s involvement is the same thing as wasting something valuable. "This is the chance for the police to gain trust; however, if their behavior is like that, the moment could vanish," said Erlinda.
