TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Information technology company Acer in tandem with Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) have launched the first notebook for the mainstream gamer society. The Aspire V5-552G notebook is supported by an AMD Elite Quad Core A10-5757M and AMD Radeon HD 8750M with 2GB VRAM processor.
“Aspire V5-552G notebook will give a multimedia experience and mainstream gaming that is more outstanding, especially in running a 3D application and other applications on a 15.6- inch screen,” said Riko Gunawan, Group Product Manager Acer Indonesia at the launch event of the product in Jakarta, Wednesday, April 23 2014.
Victor Herlianto, the consumer business lead of AMD Indonesia, said the AMD Radeon HD 8750 was built with Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture and supported Direct 11.1 with 2GB DDR3 VRAM (1 GHz, 2.0 Gbps), 128-bit memory bandwidth and 384 Stream Core.
The AMD Radeon HD 8750 is equipped with an array of technologies, such as the AMD Enduro technology that makes the battery last longer; the AMD Gesture Control that allows the controlling of basic functions using hand movements via webcam; the AMD Face Login that recognizes faces via webcam to login to Windows or website faster; and the AMD Screen Mirror that allows users to share contents through wireless signals with the support of TV or screen to almost every device in the house.
The AMD Elite Quad Core A10-5757M APU has a spec of 4MB L2 cache, 2.50 GHz with an maximum performance of up to 3.50 GHz backed by an AMD Turbo CORE technology. “AMD Elite APU can support the computing experience and outstanding entertainment for users in Indonesia, especially through the balance of the architecture CPU synergy and GPU that works in a single chip,” said Victor.
The Aspire V5-552G notebook is offered at the price of Rp7.59 million and available at reputable retail stores in Indonesia.
