TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Despite the imminent threat of transfer ban from FIFA, Barcelona never cease to keep their eyes on other possible transfer, particularly when the ban itself is currently put on hold. Initial rumor circles around goalkeeper Ter Stegen and defender David Luiz, both are likely to replace Victor Valdez and Charles Puyol, respectively.
However, recent news from Spain, as Paul Breen-Turner from Sports Breakfast reported, stated that Barcelona is eager to sign Arsenal's creative midfielder Mesut Ozil. Mundo Deportivo reported similar news, that Barcelona is putting the former Madrid's playmaker into their summer transfer wishlist.
As for how much Barcelona is willing to pay for the player, the Catalan are ready to spend 30 million Poundsterling for the German international player, an offer which Arsenal not planning to consider. Arsenal signed Ozil last season for 42 million Pundsterling, making Ozil the most expensive player the Gunners have ever purchased.
