TEMPO.CO, Kuala Lumpur - Datuk Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, Malaysia's Department of Civil Aviation director-general, said that the search for flight MH 370, which has entered the 46th day, would continue until the plane is found.
"The status quo remains as the search team is fully operational. We will not give up the search to find the plane or the black box," he told the Star on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
He also cancelled talks with the government on moving the search due to the lack of results so far, indicating the search will not move from the previously determined zone in the Southern Indian Ocean, off the coast of Australia.
"Our approach and strategy have not changed. We are still out in full force searching for the plane," he said.
In Perth, the Joint Agency stated they would proceed with the ninth Bluefin-21 mission, which was previously postponed because of a cyclone. Ten military aircraft and 10 ships were also deployed to assist in the search operation.
