TEMPO.CO, Madrid - Chelsea's goalkeeper will miss the rest of the season due to injured shoulder after a match against Atletico Madrid in the semifinal of Champions League. Cech could not finish the game and was replaced by Mark Schwarzer in the 18th.

AS reported that Cech had suffered dislocated shoulder. After being withdrawn from the field, the 31-year-old goalkeeper was reportedly taken to the nearest hospital to be treated.

Losing Cech is definitely a blow for Chelsea’s manager, Jose Mourinho, as the team has to play against Atletico in the second leg of the semifinal at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, May 1.

In addition, Cech’s injury is also a disadvantage for the team as they will have to face Liverpool in an important match this coming Sunday, April 27. If Chelsea fail to win the match, they would certainly miss the Premier League title this season.
