TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Police have conveyed a request to the Jakarta International School Kindergarten to no longer tamper with the sexual harassment crime scene. "Police lines are being re-established so no one will tamper with [crime scene]," said Great Comissioner Rikwanto, Spokesman for the Metro Jaya Police on Monday, April 21, 2014.
Rikwanto admits that he had received reports concerning the changes made by the school officials around the crime scene, such as toilets in the school. "They have taken out the toilet door. We asked the school officials to reinstall it," he said. He stated that he only thing the school is permitted to do is installing CCTV in the surrounding areas.
Currently, there are about 400 CCTVs installed in the school. However, not even one CCTV was installed near the crime scene. Police officials claimed that they are having trouble in investigating the crime because there are no recording of the crime.
In the near future, police officials are planning to carry out a reconstruction of the crime. Therefore, the police have requested school officials to not tamper with places marked with a police line.
