TEMPO.CO, London - Sports commentator and columnist Jamie Redknapp suggested Manchester City to recruit John Terry this summer to help bolster the Citizens' defense line. The aging Terry, now hitting 33 years old, is proven to be a solid wall before goalkeeper Petr Cech in Chelsea's line up. Terry also helped the West Londoners to secure the second position in the Premier League table and a spot in the Champions League semifinal.
Redknapp wrote that Terry will be an ideal partner for Vincent Kompany in the central defensive line. He underlined that Martin Demichelis is yet to reach his best form, while Joleon Lescott is nearing the end of his contract. Redknapp is confident that City's financial health is enough to allow the club to sign the formidable Terry.
However, signing Terry will not be an easy task for Manchester City's current manager Manuel. Terry is noted to be one of few Mounrinho's favorite and that the player has once stated his allegiance to Stamford Bridge. Terry himself has been with the Blues since 1998, scoring 57 goals out of 618 matches in all competition.
