TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta International School (JIS) principal Timothy Carr, expressed his sympathy to the victims of recent sexual harassment case in his school. He also apologized to parents of students traumatized by the incident.
"We would like to express our sympathy and condolences to victims and their families," he said on Monday, April 21, 2014, at the Sultan Hotel in Jakarta.
Carr said that the incident deals a deadly blow to JIS reputation, describing it as a difficult time for the school. Carr also said that he is personally concerned with what had happened to his students. As a parent, Carr said, he understands what they were going through.
"Because I am also a parent, I understand how the families feel," he said.
