TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Eventhough it had already been established by the Minister of Youth and Sports Roy Suryo on February 20, 2013, the dope testing laboratory building in Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) had not been functional because the facility equipment had not been budgeted by the government.
Deputy Rector of ITB Research and Innovation Sector, Wawan Gunawan, said that the four stories dope testing lab building had not been functional for the past year. In order not to make the building completely useless, the 4th floor of it is being used as a seminar, discussion and a study room. "The bottom floor is used for pharmacy," he said to Tempo.
ITB is waiting for the budget allocation on the dope testing lab equipment around Rp100 to Rp110 billion from the government. Once cashed, said Wawan, half of the budget could be used to start the dope testing. "Information from the Ministry of Youth and Sport, it will be budgeted this year for 2015," said Wawan.
