TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Parks and Cemetery Agency Chief Nandar Sunandar said his agency is currently collecting data on park benches after reports of damaged and stolen park benches in Jakarta took place.
"We are going around gathering data," he told Tempo today. So far, there are about eight park benches that had been lost around Senayan, Central Jakarta.
Five park benches along Jl. Sudirman, in front of Ratu Plaza building, have also reportedly lost. "But the benches are currently uninstalled due to MRT project," he said.
Based on the data from the Jakarta Parks Agency, there are currently 689 benches spread across Jakarta. Some of them are placed on pavements, village rows and parks. There are 128 park benches along Jl. Sudirman.
