TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Governor, Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) on data of the Jakarta Provincial Government's account transactions in three banks such as BNI, BRI, and Mandiri online. It is done in the framework of the examination for management and local financial responsibility, as reported by Antara News.
Such MoU was signed by BPK Head Hadi Poernomo, Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo, BNI Director Gatot M Suwondo, BRI Director Sofjan Basir, and Mandiri Director Budi Gunadi Sadikin, at BPK office, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta, Wednesday.
The Jakarta Governor Jokowi disclosed the cooperation is one step of openness on budget usage. Later on, the BPK could directly monitor all transactions in such banks.
"Indeed, we are totally transparent. This is not a data problem, but financial transaction in DKI, BNI and Mandiri Banks. All will be monitored by BPK. Each transaction, all could be monitored and audited," he stated.
