TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Google, known for propelling innovative devices, returns with a conceptual contact lens camera, boasting that the device allows its user to magnify objects for clearer visibility.
A tiny set of camera will be placed on the edge of the lens, without interrupting user's visibility. The device also boasts other features such as facial recognition, telescope, and infrared, along with bionic early warning system.
The contact lens will be equipped with the complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS), tiny camera, control circuit, and wireless receiver. The futuristic invention, originating from Google X skunkworks Lab, began in a patent filing back in 2012. Google, however, will have to run a number of tests before launching it to the public.
Prior to the smart lens, Google has come with the Glass, a similar wearable gadget, whose prototype has been proven to boast a wide range of capabilities.
