Trading Ministry Aims to Join International Market

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As a gesture to continue the commitment to increase non-oil exports of Indonesian leading products worldwide, especially food and drinks, the Trading ministry has assigned their General Directorate for National Export Development to participate in the 19th exhibition of Saudi Food, Hotel & Hospitality Arabia 2014. The exhibition will take place on April 13 to 16 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Hotel, food and drinks products have become one of the main businesses in Saudi Arabia. These markets have become the ministry's target to boost Indonesia's exports of food and drinks products. "The exhibition is one of means to promote to non-traditional markets," said Nus Nuzulia Ishak, the ministry's Director General for national export development, Saturday, April 13.
The trading ministry will display 16 Indonesian food and drinks companies, which among them are developed by the Agricultural Ministry. The products that are going to be displayed are vegetable oil, snack (nuts), herbal drinks, HO-Re-Ca (food service) disposable products and nonwoven for protection (PPE) products, nata de coco, jelly and pudding, aloe vera, bath accessories, can food, tea-bags, fresh fruit, essential oil, coffee, and many more.
