TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The General Election Commission (KPU) of West Java has recorded as many as 140,642 voters that will be casting their votes in the re-voting (PSU) and voting continuation which will be held simultaneously on April 13 in 324 polling stations (TPS).
"The preparation has been started, the dissemination is conducted while distributing C6 forms (voting invitations)," said KPU Chief of West Java Yayat Hidayat to Tempo on Friday, April 11. The re-voting will be held in all regions in West Java except for Banjar, Sumedang, Bogor, Tasikmalaya, and Cimahi. According to Yayat, only voters which already listed by associated TPS will be allowed to recast their votes.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of KPU of West Java Heri Suherman said that the number of TPS has been swollen after corrections that were made by the local KPU. The initial number of TPS recorded during the coordination meeting on Thursday was 228 TPS for re-voting and 22 TPS for the continued voting. Now, the final number becomes 324 TPS in total.
Heri said that KPU of the Republic of Indonesia has decided to fund each TPS with Rp5 millions for the event.
