TEMPO.CO, Lausanne - Watching programs on a smart TV may be convenient since the device allows you to synchronize media from your computer and to keep connected to the internet from your comfortable couch without the presence of any personal computer. However, typing on a remote control is one thing about being connected through a smart TV that is not too convenient.
Logitech aims the smart TV users with its latest keyboard Logitech Living-Room Keyboard K830. The keyboard is claimed to be making the typing and navigation process of smart TV and home theater PC (HTPC) easier.
"More and more consumers want an easy way to access movies, TV programs, music and photos with their PC connected to a TV," said Charlotte Johs, Logitech's global vice president of brand development for PC accessories as quoted by PCMag on Wednesday. "Designed for the modern living space, the K830's aesthetic blends into your home, making it a standout choice for people with connected TVs."
Logitech combines the traditional keyboard and separate mouse into one device in order to avoid clutter and "the constant chore of keeping track of both in your couch cushions." The home theater PC keyboard also boasts a 2.4GHz long-range wireless connection, allowing users to continue working on a PC from up to 33-feet away.
The lightweight device is provided with soft-feel keys optimized for media and entertainment control, along with a responsive cursor control. The battery is said to be able to live for as long as 10 days after 3-hour recharge through micro USB port. Users can also download compatible software that allows the customization of the keyboard and touchpad settings. A background light will adjust brightness according to a room's brightness when users are typing and it will dim out and finally shut-off after five-minute inactivity.
