TEMPO.CO, Monaco - French media L'Equipe reported Real Madrid's assistant manager Zinedine Zidane will move to AS Monaco next year, replacing helmsman Claudio Ranieri. Zidane's stardom, despite being slightly inexperienced as a manager, turns out to draw Monaco's interest.
Monaco currently is in the capable hand of Claudio Ranieri, signed to serve until summer 2015. The Italian has proved that he can take Monaco to a better place in the league. After winning Ligue 2 last season, Ranieri has brought Monaco on the second place of Ligue 1 standings and a place in French League Cup semifinal.
Regardless, Monaco's owner Dmitry Rybolovev is said to end Ranieri's service this summer, in the attempt of signing former French International Zidane. Zidane is expected to be able to handle the humongous ego of Monaco's starlets such as James Rodriguez, Joao Moutinho and Geoffrey Kondogbia.
