Sudirman Boulevard Collapses, Jokowi: Ask the Central Government

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Governor of DKI Jakarta Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo said that repairing the collapsed Jendral Sudirman boulevard is the authority of the Central Government. "Is that the provincial or central road? If it's the central [road], don't ask us, we'll get blamed again," said Jokowi at the City Hall on Friday, April 11 2014.
Jokowi said that he will not precede the authority of the Central Government in repairing the road. He took an example of a similar effort that the Jakarta government took to repair TB Simatupang road, sometime ago, which upsets the central government. "Because their authority was taken," he said.
That is why this time Jokowi will only coordinate with the central government concerning the repairs of Sudirman boulevard.
