TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Finance System Stability Forum (FKKSK) held a meeting to anticipate the impacts of China economic slowdown on Monday night, April 7, 2014.
Deputy Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro said Indonesia has to watch the impacts of the China slowdown and the global risk.
"We have to use US, Europe and Japan economic improvement as the compensation of what is happening in China," Bambang said after the meeting.
According to Bambang, China slowdown was intentionally created by the government to anticipate inflation. He warned that if the China effect is not anticipated, exports will drop significantly.
"But until now the condition is stable," he said.
Bambang explained that China is shifting its economic growth booster from investments to domestic consumption. But based on a meeting with Chinese government, Bambang further continued, the country's import from other countries, including Indonesia, will remain high.
