TEMPO.CO, Dortmund "Do you think I am an idot?" Borussia Dortmund's manager Jurgen Klopp told the press following a defeat in Champions League quarterfinal against Real Madrid last week. Tonight, on facing Madrid in the second leg at Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund have a mountain to climb and a dragon to beat, referring to a 0-3 goal aggregate.
Klopp said that they would still display an attacking football, and that the game could always offer a bit of a surprising turn. Last season in the semifinal round, Dortmund trashed Madrid in homeground by 4-1, with Robert Lewandowski cemented his name for man of the match title.
This season, Dortmund will have to break a real sweat as Madrid come to German, bearing the names of top players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel di Maria, as well as summer transfers such as Gareth Bale and Isco.
With the existing aggregate, Dortmund need to score four goals in order to buy themselves a safe passage to the semifinal. Another thing to note for Dortmund is that defeating Madrid this season in Champions League will not be an easy task, as Los Galacticos is undefeated with 32 goals in hand.
