TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Regional Operation (Daops) I spokesman, Agus Komarudin said the operation of electric trains from Bogor to Jakarta has yet to return to normal as the train’s pantograph broke at around 06.40 a.m. “Only one lane has returned to normal, just the left,” Agus told Tempo, Friday, April 4, 2014.
Agus said KAI personnel were still checking the electric current on the right lane. He added KAI suspected there was a problem with the electric current on the upper side of the right lane.
Agus suspected the pantograph broke due to frictions of objects. “We are still investigating this, while the trains have been moved to Dipo Station Depok,” he said.
The broken pantograph has disrupted the operation of trains going en route to Jakarta. Agus said his personnel had been fixing the pantograph since 08.00 a.m. today but he could not confirm yet as to when the lane would be fully operative again.
