Cities located on the coast of Papua, such as Jayapura, Sarmi, Waropen, Biak Numfor, and Supiori, will experience little tsunami tomorrow morning at around 5:00 AM Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
The government has issued a warning to the possibly affected areas, meaning that coastal residents are expected to their keep distance with the coastline. Indonesia Tsunami Early Warning Center (InaTEWS) has also issued similar warning, based on Chilean Tsunami analysis.
Previously, an eight richter scale earthquake occurs in Chile, causing tsunami that hit the coastline of Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Kosta Rika, and Nicaragua.
