OJK: Insurance Companies Receive Many Complaints

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Dumoly Pardede, Deputy of Non-Bank Financial Industry at the Financial Services Authority (OJK), claimed that insurance companies receive the highest number of complaints compared to other businesses in the financial services sector.
So far this year, OJK has received 600 complaints from policyholders, mostly related to late payment of claims by insurance companies.
Dumoly said that most of the complaints involve companies which business license has been revoked, or companies that operates under certain restrictions. Nevertheless, he stated that OJK has requested all insurance companies to improve its services.
