TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Deputy Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) threatened PT Jakarta Monorail (JM) to end their partnership if the company does not yet signed the agreement on the participation of other investor to join in the Monorail project. "Let's us just see this matter at end of the month. Decision must be made by JM," Ahok said on Tuesday as quoted by Antara News.
Actually, Ahok is not interested to continue the monorail project by involving other investors if there is no agreement from PT JM. "However, I will let a private party to continue this project as long as we do not spend any more money for something that is uncertain," Ahok explained.
He stated that the agreement listed PT JM to construct monorail in just three years. "All assets will be seized by the city government if the construction is proven to be more than three years development. The agreement must be made to avoid sudden abandoning of the monorail project by JM," stated Ahok firmly.
