TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) has called a stop on searching the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, due to no detailed information on the plane's whereabouts. "We stop searching and wait for further instructions from Central Basarnas and Malaysian Government," said the SAR mission team leader Budi Cahyadi.
However, Basarnas boat KN Purworejo 101 remained on alert at Ulee Lheu port, as well as Basarnas chopper HR1522. Budi mentioned that Basarnas has deployed three boats, one chopper, and 90 personnel in total. "There is no findings, yet we still await further instructions," he said.
Aceh SAR Chief Ibnu Harris Al Hussain added that Basarnas has covered over 2,000 miles of the ocean without finding any clue on the plane's whereabouts. "The search has reached Exclusive Economy Zone (ZEE) that borders Thailand and Andaman Island," said Ibnu Haris.
