TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian designer Tex Saverio participated at the Paris Fashion Week for the second time on Tuesday last week to exhibit its winter collection. Black and golden colors dominated its 20 collections.
Tex displayed its collections in a fashion show at the Automobile Club de France, a men's automobile club since 1895.
"We were the only Indonesian brand to have a scheduled fashion show at Paris Fashion Week," said Joe Saverio, Vice President of TEXSAVERIO clothing line, in a press conference in Jakarta.
In addition to Tex, there were three other Indonesian designers who were involved at the fashion week: Yosafat Dwi Kurniawan, Major Minor, and Toton. However, they displayed their works at the Triangle Showroom of the Paris Fashion Week instead of showcasing their clothes in the fashion show.
The three designers were selected directly by Angela Quaintrell, a senior buyer from Liberty London, who has been involved in the fashion world for 14 years. Quaintrell is a buyer of brands, such as Yohji Yanamoto, Issey Miyake, Junya Watanabe, and Alexander McQueen.
