TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ford India continued its 2014 momentum in February, selling 12,253 vehicles in combined domestic wholesales and exports, up 69 percent from 7,253 vehicles in the same period last year. Domestic sales in February strongly contributed and grew by 51% with 6,799 units from 4,490 units a year earlier as demand for Ford's products continued to remain steady this month, as reported by Financial Express.
"At Ford India, we continue to go further for our customers with enhanced product offerings. New pricing and features of Ford Classic and Wi-Fi capability on the Ford Figo have received an encouraging response from customers, alongside continued demand for the all-new Ford EcoSport. The recent reductions in excise duty should provide a positive message to customers and encourage them to make the most of the outstanding value being offered on our smart, safe and fuel efficient products," said Vinay Piparsania, executive director of Marketing, Sales and Service.
Ford India further strengthened its position as a world class manufacturing hub with the export debut of its Chennai-built EcoSport to mature markets in Europe. In February, Ford India’s exports almost doubled to 5,454 vehicles, up from 2,763 units exported last February.
In the month of February, Ford India opened several new outlets across multiple cities, reaching far and wide across the country, with 304 sales and service touch points in 164 cities. Ford also added two new Quick Lane Service centres at Nashik and Kochi.
