TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The mass rapid transit (MRT) project in Jakarta has now entered a tender stage for the project's operation system and train procurement. Nine tender participants were given five days to obtain tender documents from February 17 to 21. But all of the tender documents have been taken by the participants in a few hours on the first day, according to MRT Jakarta President Director Dono Boestami yesterday.
The next stage will gather MRT Jakarta and the tender participants in a meeting and arrange their visits to the project location on March 5 to March 6. Five of the tender participants for operation system and railway installment were given five months to prepare their offers.
Meanwhile, three months have been given to four other participants to prepare their offers for train set procurement. The contracts for both projects are expected to be signed in November and December.
The Government Goods and Service Procurement Agency LKPP has stated its readiness to participate in supervising the MRT project tender, according to LKPP director Setiabudi.
