TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR) seemed more focused on their music performance and how to create romantic atmosphere during the concert at Skenoo Exhibition Hall in Jakarta yesterday. With a Valentine theme, the band played romantic songs, which are not performed too often since they are too slow, said Jascha, the vocalist.
The concert was set to make the audience sit and enjoy the '90s hits by displaying visualizations during each song performance. The band presented romantic imaginations such as a love symbol combined with soft lighting.
Jascha and Mikkel played 'I’m Gonna Be Around' in acoustics, and Mikkel stepped down from the stage with his guitar and greeted some audiences to get closer. Mikkel received hugs and kisses from female audiences.
A moment before playing 'You Took My Heart Away', the guitarist asked the audiences who came to the concert with their partners to look into each other’s eyes, and blew their mind with the song’s romantic lyrics.
The night was even more romantic when the band played two of its most popular songs: 'Paint My Love' and 'That’s Why (You Go Away)'.
