TEMPO.CO, Mmountain View - Google announced last month that they had sold Motorola Mobility to Lenovo, and executive reshuffle will inevitably follow.
According to the Wall Street Journal as quoted by The Verge on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, Motorola Mobility CEO Dennis Woodside will join Dropbox as the company's first chief operating officer.
Woodside had been an executive in Google for years before he was appointed as Motorola Mobility's CEO. He left such an impression in Silicon Valley that Apple's Tim Cook tried to hire him away from the company.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Woodside will oversee Dropbox's business. Dropbox management reportedly does not have a person as experienced as Woodside. Dropbox is one of start-up companies that will offer its shares to the public. The company likely need an experienced supervisor to be able to achieve that step.
