TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Political obsever from State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Gungung Heryanto, said that Jakarta governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo's action of taking over the central government's authority can be considered as a critic to the central government, which claimed to have neglected its responsibility.
Previously, Minister of Public Works Djoko Kirmanto, argued that Jokowi should not intervene on roadwork project carried out to repair TB Simatupang Street. The Minister insisted that repairing the TB Simatupan Street is the responsibility of the central government.
However, Gungung stated that Jokowi should coordinate with the central government. WHile on the other hand, the Ministry of Public Works, which claimed to be responsible for the project, should provide support for Jokowi.
