TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The new Inter Milan President Erick Thohir, confirmed that coach Walter Mazzarri has requested him to recruit new strikers during the winter transfer window.
“When the playing intensity lowers, we notice the lack of alternatives in the frontline. Inter have only four forwards and two are currently injured," said the Indonesian-born businessman, as cited by Football Italia. "Palacio is playing practically all the time and we need a more in-depth attack, before we had to move Guarin."
Several names began to pop-up including Paris Saint-Germain's Ezequiel Lavezzi and Manchester City's Stevan Jovetic. Thohir claimed that the club boardof directors will soon make the decision. However, he emphasized that they would not randomly select players, suggesting only to choose the one that can work with the rest of the club.
