TEMPO.CO, Milan - Vice President of AC Milan Adriano Galliani is about to make his way out of the Italian giant after having been with the club for over a quarter of a century. The loyal servant to President Silvio Berlusconi and the club's CEO is heading for the exit after the emergence of Silvio Berlusconi's daughter, Barbara, at San Siro.
Reports suggested that Barbara Berlusconi recently publicly questioned the direction the club was heading in under Galliani’s leadership.
"I've received a severe blow to my reputation and I won’t stay here to burn on a slow fire," Galliani said yesterday.
The Gazzetta dello Sport and the Corriere dello Sport claim Galliani will wait eight days for the club to facilitate his exit – with a substantial pay-off – or he'll simply resign.
Galliani (69) first dealt with Berlusconi back in 1979 when he was involved in television industry.
He joined Milan two years after his debut as Vice-President of Monza in 1984.
